Clitheroe, Lancashire
Audley Reservoir is situated on the slopes of Pendle Hill overlooking the town of Clitheroe. It is a small stillwater which historically fed a printing mill in the town and offers members, good quality, small stillwater flyfishing. Other fishing methods are also permitted at certain times. This is Mitre Angling Club's most recent acquisition and is set in stunning countryside with beautiful views over the Ribble Valley.
The water is stocked with rainbow trout and blue trout as well as holding a head of wild brown trout. There are also roach, tench, bream and chub which can be fished for out of the usual trout season. This is, however, primarily an all year round fly and worm fishery for trout. As with all our still waters, members and their guests can take a maximum of 2 fish per week. No day tickets are issued.
